我是研究生

近來，
不同的老友記看過我的blog都有同一反應，
又整餅，又畫公仔，又玩公仔 (不是公仔，是模型啊...U_____U) ...
我的閒暇活動是多采多姿的。

然而，
張媽媽開始覺得我「游閒」，
有天，對我說：「你越來越怪...」 T_____T

其實，
我是一個研究生。
或者，
我是一個怪怪的研究生。

究竟，我的現況是怎樣？

• 研究論文題目：關於高等教育擴展的研究。
• 考試：八月終，考第一張Comprehensive Exam (Sociology of Education)。
• 研究：也會跟fatandrewlo做研究。我的崗位是Data Engineer，好喜歡這個位置，好像好厲害的樣子。前兩天，我和fatandrewlo合作的研究文章被 Informatics in Education 接納。自2003年開始，每年一個entry，2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 (好像玩接龍一般)。雖然，我的研究方法和技巧不算成熟，但是，做研究是好好玩的，尤其data analysis 的部份最好玩。

是，我就是一個怪怪的研究生。~@_____@~

找到好味的魚蛋和魚肉燒賣~
香港島天星碼頭下層入口小食亭
魚蛋非常彈牙(應該有水楊酸)，不加辣汁更好味。
魚肉燒賣熱騰騰，蒸得剛好，軟硬適中。
總之，食咗會好開心囉。

女‧黑色幽默

向來以為女人和黑色幽默拉不上關係。
但是今天讀蘇青的《結婚十年》，
女人的黑色幽默可以好犀利。

她的《結婚十年》使我笑個不停。
而我亦肯定這本書不是一部笑話。

我不知道蘇青是何許人，
只知道她是屬於上一世紀三十年代，與張愛玲齊名的女性。
但是，
她的文字比現代人更現代，
性格坦白得離奇，
那點自嘲式幽默...簡直攞命~。
(或許，蘇青根本沒有自嘲的意圖，只是我這無良讀者胡說八道。)

my old drawing (1)

yesterday,
my stuff collapsed again.
this time included my desk and my wardrobes.
so i needed to rescue the "landslide".

from the slumps,
i found my old drawings.
this is one of them.

i drew it when i was working on my master project.

to a large extent, it reflects also my present situation
(while preparing my exam).

i thought i have thrown this away with my recycled paper.
i kept finding it yesterday after cleaning all the trashes.

but i couldn't.
felt awfully disappointed.
so i told myself
「係我嘅就係我嘅~」

this afternoon,
when i used the ladder chair again,
i found the drawings inside the chair's drawer...
ha ha aha
what should i say, except,

我又失靈了！
(anyway, what a pleasant surprise. ^_____^)

do those mangos on the top look like dinosaur eggs?
i think i should not make those chocolate squares on the top.
i should draw a dinosaur.

my family's remarks:

though it does not have the outlook of cova's mango cake,

it tastes quite good.

under arrest

welcome to not zero english classroom.
today, keroro teaches you a very useful english expression.

"hands up! you are under arrest!"

it is particularly useful when you face your enemies.

paper after PhD

某日，
我在家中跟老友記通電話，
談到他邊寫paper，邊看世界柸的情形。
(真苦~)

我的細佬剛好在家中。
他聽到我們的對話後，
問了一個極有智慧的問題，

「不是讀完PhD便不用寫paper的嗎？」

真是一個好問題。

i took three cable car trips this time.

well, i have sort of overcoming cable cars.

my parents insisted i should take raging river ride with them.

they kept telling me it was nothing at all.

but,

i screamed my head off when the boat started to slide.

so,

they spared my life.

i was left looking after the bags.

they went ahead for other mechines.

actually, raging river was not that scary afterall.

practice makes perfect, i believe.

finally i have completed this story.

quite the same as the frog,

i am afraid of heights,

especially cable cars.

anyway, the moral of this story is

幸福是自己爭取的。

希望所有人都幸福。

my acrylic palette

塑膠彩(acrylic)是我最喜歡用的顏料，
但這是一種非常快乾掉的東西，
有它的好處，也有它的壞處。

每當顏料在色盤上硬化後，
便不可以再用。
既難清洗也不化算。
當然，可以用slow drying gel減慢乾掉速度。
但是若可以省下多一點的顏料更好。

我到不同的art supplies找合用的色盤，
可惜，找不到。

經過多次試驗，
我找到了not-zero的獨步單方...


只需一個密實袋、一塊濕毛巾和一個小學生用的色盤。
把色盤用濕毛巾包裹起來，
然後放在密實袋內。



...解除裝甲...
這就是我的小學生色盤，
塑膠料，而且是盒狀的最好。



色盤的內部
用這種方法使我省下不少顏料，
最重要的是省下洗色盤的時間... ^_____^



但是，這種方法也有它的可怖之處。
就是，
發"毛"... U____U (請看箭嘴之處)

baking pyramids..

i went for a cookery class this afternoon.
it's baking chocolate pyramids.
but it's too risky to trim the cake into a pyramid shape,
so i made a not-zero cake instead.
...it looks okay lar.
